About Me

Thirty years old going on 13. After graduating college I told myself I would travel as much as possible, be a ski bum, live in Hawaii, develop my photography portfolio and spend 8 years deciding what I would do when I "grew up". "When I'm thirty," I told myself, "I'll get a grown up job." Well, a funny thing happened. I accomplished all of those things I set out to do and discovered along the way that you do not have to "grow up" in order to be happy or successful. You just have to be yourself.

Along the way I met the love of my life, who also loves to travel and breathe clean air, Jessica. We're recently engaged and that's about as grown up as I plan on being for a good long while :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel, I'm usually camping or staying with my fiance Jessica, so I hven't felt the need for something like this. But recently I've found myself traveling on my own more often and traveling to winter locales where camping is a bit more challenging than I would like it! Specifically, this year I began to pursue snowboarding professionally and am following a competition circuit to places like Taos, NM, Crested Butte, CO, Silverton, CO and Big Sky, MT. I am not a partier and I've found some hostels can be too rowdy when I'm trying to be rested and motivated for my competition.

I also live in a spectacular mountain town - Flagstaff, Arizona. That is centrally located among some of the most beautiful country in America, as well as the Grand Canyon. I'm always meeting travelers and it would be nice to return the favor and show some hospitality for those looking to experience what I sometimes take for granted!
