About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm looking to meet new and interesting people who similarly balance a normal life with their secret (or not so secret) inner nerd.

Music, Movies, and Books

Hmmm for movies I'm going to have to go with anything Tarantino or Studio Ghibli. I am a sucker for Jim Carrey, as well.

Music-wise I've been quite into Madeon and Daft Punk lately. I've also got an affinity for Nik Kershaw, Pat Benetar, Genesis and any and all instrumental jazz. Of course, in addition to all this I still rank Queen as my all-time favourite band!

I'm a bit lackin' in the books category recently; mostly I've been reading graphics novels. Watchmen was amazing, and The Walking Dead keeps me entertained and lets me lord over friends and family with my knowledge of what's to come in the TV show (well at least general info since they've changed it quite a bit).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I once saved my cousin from drowning in a relative's pool. I don't even recall most of the details from that time, but I remember looking down into the pool to consider whether I should get changed to swim. I saw him at the bottom, and clearly he wasn't supposed to be there so I jumped in and pulled him to the surface. He ended up being fine, but it scared the crap out of his parents (naturally) and they were quite grateful that I was there when I was!

Teach, Learn, Share

Well I'm not exactly sure how much wisdom I can impart to others with a puny bachelor of science, but I'll gladly share anything I've learned about environmental remediation or the like. I've also been told that my English, both written and spoken, are quite solid by the lax standards set by today's youth.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Japanese stuff? If you're a fan of omiyage, that can definitely be arranged.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, Netherlands, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
