Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I'm on a five week tour of the US during September and October as part of a research fellowship. I'll be visiting a long list of art and music projects for people with learning disabilities.
ABOUT ME
They would probably say I work to much! I'm 46, which has come as a real surprise. I run something called the Trebus Project (www.trebusprojects.org), which is an attempt to record and capture the words and stories of people with Alzheimer's before those words are lost to history. It's become an obsession. I like experimental music, art and literature...
PHILOSOPHY
I think that changes almost every day.

Music, Movies, and Books
Very wide range from Bach to Shellac to Sonic Youth. Spent some time this year working with actors from the Samuel Beckett Company in London... books? Far, far too many to mention.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I studied sculpture at Chelsea School of Art in London and then ran my own gallery for five years. I retrained to work with people with Alzheimer's disease and dementia. I've written two books, released a record of experimental music), produced some short films and had a Radio 4 series in the UK (3.5 million listeners!). I'm self employed as an artist (just about surviving in tough times). I spend some of each year in Puglia in Italy where I help a friend restore a semi derelict semaphore station.
Teach, Learn, Share
if you check out my website www.trebusprojects.org you'll see I've made a career out of meeting people and collecting stories. I've interviewed everyone from a spy to a cat-burglar to politicians.
