About Me

If I were to choose one word to describe myself, it's passionate. I love to learn new things, meet new people, and help people in ways big and small. I'm currently a student at UCLA studying Business-Economics with minors in accounting and Chinese. I'm looking towards a career in management consulting, but my dream is to start my own company. I love entrepreneurship and especially the people side of business, I'll talk all day about it if you'll listen!

Love and let love.

I believe we as people are happiest when we are totally and genuinely loving everyone and everything around us. I strive to listen, learn, and open myself to new people and experiences and I hope to meet you soon!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I'm totally new to couchsurfing, but I think it's awesome and I hope to become more involved. I think 90% of the travel is experience is who you're with and there's nothing better than making new friends, going to the best local spots, and sharing cross-cultural experiences!

As mentioned above, I'm totally new, but I want to get involved!

I have a ton of interests, and I'm always open to learning new things. That said, here are some main ones:

Music: I love listening to music, especially American top 40 and kpop. I'm also very interested in songwriting and studied at the Berklee College of Music both online and in-person at summer programs. At the end of high school, I wrote and recorded an album and I hope to one day return to writing more seriously.

Culture/Language: I love learning different languages and being able to interact with and understand different cultures. I'm especially interested in Asia. I like to talk about culture and politics with my Chinese friends and I hope to learn more about Korea and Japan in my travels.

Education: In the long-term, I hope to help deeply reform and rethink education. I think it is one of the most important part of our lives and could really benefit from focusing on listening to students and helping find what they are passionate about and pursue it.

Entrepreneurship/Business: I'm very interested in business, especially entrepreneurship. I hope to start my own company and believe in a strong focus on culture, customers, and value. I like thinking through the customer/user experience and understanding what they are thinking and feeling. I think really meeting a market need is a very cool experience.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: I like listening to top 40 popular music of pretty much all genres although I'm not the biggest country fan. I'm also a big fan of kpop!

Movies: I like comedy/action/drama movies. I like movies that are smart and make you think too. Big fan of the Dark Knight and Inception.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Beijing, I had an opportunity to go around the city with one of our family friends that was my age. It was awesome to go to historic spots, restaurants, and local sites with someone who knows what to do, where to go, who to talk to, and all with a person you can really connect with. It's amazing how you can make lifelong friends in such a short period of time.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I'd be more than happy to talk about or teach from any of my interests listed above (maybe we can write a song together!) or just sharing something of my culture with you!

Learn: I'm happy to learn just about anything if you have the patience to teach me, but I especially like learning about language, culture and food!

Countries I’ve Visited

Bahamas, Canada, China, Mexico, Taiwan, United States
