About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn. Teach. Explore. To help people feel better.

ABOUT ME

My main interest at the moment by far is energy work, i.e. reiki, meditation, Chi, Prana, etc. I am a master hiker, a terrible singer, a pretty good cook, a dog person, an inveterate traveler, a rafting enthusiast, a very talented masseur, a teacher, a learner, an explorer, a seeker, a reader, a movie buff, and an avid conversationalist.

I have a very corny, terribly pun-tastic, and often sarcastic sense of humor.

PHILOSOPHY

Plan well, then improvise as needed. Exercise, a healthy diet, and meditation go a long way toward happiness. Expose yourself to other ideas and ways of thinking to enrich your own. Benefit from the knowledge and experience of others.

For a while, I searched for answers outside, by traveling and seeing other parts of the world. I have learned that these answers are within us. We need only let go of the things that distract us from them to find our more authentic selves.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I provide people with a relaxed place to stay in a safe area of New Orleans, close to public transportation to wherever they want to go.

I provide energy healing for those people on the road, both literally and metaphorically. I learn from them, too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've been invited randomly to stay with people in Ireland and China and probably a couple of other places as well. Each time it raised the quality of the experience by a degree of ten. Staying with local people you get insight and opportunities you wouldn't have staying in a hostel or a hotel. I very much enjoyed those experiences and I am passing on that good will to others.

I've now hosted oodles of people, and stayed with people a couple of times! Lets keep it going! :D

Interests

Traveling, hiking, white water rafting, horse-back riding, reading, movies, business, entrepreneurial doings, meeting people, having interesting conversations, lots of meditation, energy work, spirit guide(s), higher self, ascended masters, archangels, deities, activation, ascension, spreading empowerment, freedom, joy and love.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Oldboy, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Brotherhood of the Wolf, Crimson River, the [Swedish] Millennium Trilogy movies, Hanna, Inception, Identity, Life as a House, True Grit, and Antibodies

Music: Florence and the Machine, Beethoven, Within Temptation, Poets of the Fall, Imogen Heap, Chinese Bamboo Flute Music, and some top 40 stuff.

Books: Game of Thrones (Song of Ice and Fire), Lies of Locke Lamora, The Name of the Wind, The Way of Kings, Wheel of Time, The First Law Trilogy.

I listen to guided meditation and entrepreneurial mp3s to learn more about things, and grow.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've ridden horse-back along the beach of Galway while the sun was going down and the tide coming in; enjoyed the Friedrichsbad baths in Baden Baden twice; been stranded in the Pyrenees; gone white water rafting under Mont Blanc in the Alps; hiked two volcanoes, one of which was active; kicked off my shoes in a [dirt cheap] private box for the Hungarian National Ballet in Budapest, visited the Great Wall and the Western Wall within a week of each other, and a host of other wonderful experiences I wouldn't trade for anything.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love to share Energy Healing:
Chakra Clearing, Violet Flame, Reconnection to Earth and Universal Energy, and balancing the energy within the body and the aura. Yay! Have you ever tried to OM while giving someone a hug? It's amazing!!

I do 3-4 kinds of energy healing now: Reiki, Pranic Healing, 22 Rays, and PSYCH-K.

I can teach the following:

Meditation: chakra meditation, spirit guide work, kundalini work, inner child work, chanting OM as loudly while I meditate so as to be as disruptive as possible.

Business: How to do it, and where to start

Medieval Studies: Interesting and Useless facts you'll never need to know

Public Health: monitoring and evaluation, emergency response

Metaphysical Perspective: I can give input from a metaphysical/energetic perspective on a really wide variety of issues.

Hiking: How to and how to have a lot more fun doing it

Massage Skills: Natural talent, but I can show you how to recognize the different muscles, and where knots (stress points) are and how to relieve them.

I'm really good for bouncing ideas off of, I give excellent feedback/insight for almost anything, and enjoy being able to do so.

Just for kicks: I give 1-2 minute exorcisms to remove negative energy/entities too! Woot!

Here's the list of things I do in my healing practice:
1. discussion from a metaphysical perspective,
2. non-violent communication,
3. reiki,
4. PSYCH-K (going into the subconscious mind through a body posture to transform limiting or negative beliefs into positive supportive beliefs),
5. 2+ other energy healing methods (Pranic Healing + The Seven Rays),
6. core belief work (going 20+ levels deep to get to the thing that's causing whatever it is that's bothering you),
7. inner child work (to heal memories related to the core belief),
8. spirit guide activations,
9. higher self activations, etc.
10. breathwork
11. How to process emotions in a healthy manner through the breath.
12. Removing negative entities or entities.
