Many. Just one life for so many things!
I'm a happy, straightforward, easy going and idealistic guy :) I work as a private tutor, helping highschool and college students in their studies. I spend the rest of my time reading, learning, talking, debating, meeting new people. I specially enjoy meeting different people, with different perspectives on life and the world. What else do I like to do? I like to go out and see a good concert. I love to meet old friends and to make new ones. I like to write and I like to play guitar. I love to hike and camp and to be surrounded by nature. I love to eat a good meal and to drink some good wine ;) I like sports and physical activity. I try to be politically active. I love art and cultural events. I like to think of ways to live free and according to my principles.
You only live once. Make the most of it ;)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love Couchsurfing because it makes it very easy for me to meet a lot of local people while traveling and, has a host, it gives me the opportunity to meet very varied people from all over the world. It's definitly a positive experience in my life :)
I think that literature is probably my greatest interest. But science, politics, philosophy, art, history, mythology, cultures, activism and music are subjects that specially draw my attention.
I like to talk over a coffee or a beer, read, watch movies, see a concert, go to the theather, take walks, camp, travel and love partying ;)
Music, Movies, and Books
Many different things, Federico Fellini, Hayao Miyazaki, Akira Kurosawa, Stanley Kubrick, Coen Brothers, Tarantino, Orson Welles are directors that I like.
I sort of wander through various kinds of music. Rock, blues, jazz, indie, bossanova, samba, classical, trance, techno..
I've got a deep passion for literature and it's hard to name favourites, but Jack Kerouac, Hemingway, Hermann Hess, Kafka, Fernando Pessoa, Milan Kundera, Mikhail Bulgakov, José Saramago, Miguel Torga, António Lobo Antunes, Dostoeyvsky, Tolstoy, Charles Bukowski, Albert Camus and Haruki Murakami are authors that come to mind.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'll tell you when we meet ;)
Teach, Learn, Share
I love to learn new things and I'm always willing to share what I know. I'd like to learn more of french and german languages and I'm always interested in all kinds of art. I'm a very curious person interested in a lot of subjects. I think I can be useful teaching Portuguese, English, Science or playing the guitar.
