Dave:
I'm 25, very easy going, professional musician.
Live with best friend Dan, in a lovely new apartment in the outskirts of Manchester.

Mark:
I'm Also very easy going...at least that's what people tell me... I'm 25, a trained Podiatrist!

We are attempting to bike over 1100 miles around Europe for the Alzheimer's Society in honour of our Grandmothers.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've had an experience of hosting couch surfers.. (only twice) but loved it!

We love meeting new people and sharing great times, and if we get a friend and a place to stay sometime then great, what a bonus!

But we are looking for kind supporting individuals to help us on our travels through Europe.

Our challenge is to cycle over 1100 miles around Europe.

We have no idea of the horrors that face us, (saddle sore, blisters, dehydration) but this cause is worth every ache and pain, every bead of sweat, and in our case... every tear.

This is our proposed route;

1. Astley – 81 miles – Richmond

2. Richmond – 50 miles – Newcastle

3. Newcastle – overnight ferry – IJmuiden

a. IJmuiden – 16 miles – Amsterdam (Holland)

4. Amsterdam 96 miles – Antwerp (Belgium)

5. Antwerp – 73 miles Maubeuge (France)

6. Maubeuge – 77 miles – Reims (France)

7. Reims – 89 miles – Villeneuve-L’Archeveque (France)

8. Villeneuve-L’Archeveque – 75 miles – Corbigny (France)

9. Corbigny – 106 miles – Riom (France)

10. Riom – 71 miles – Saint-Flour (France)

11. Saint-Flour – 83 miles – Millau (France)

12. Millau – 80 miles – Narbonne (France)

13. Narbonne – 95 miles – Torroella de Montgri (Spain)

14. Torroella de Montgri – 80 miles – Barcelona (Spain)

a. Barcelona £70 each flight to – Liverpool

b. Liverpool – 50 miles – Home
