Fun easygoing traveller couple, Hungarian wife - Canadian husband (with 1/4 Hungarian background).

Mel is Bubbly, charming and makes best friends in two minutes:)

David is smart, funny, loves to party but also loves chilling and having mind blowing conversations.

We met when wife was running a hostel downtown Budapest. Now husband ended up staying for 8 month instead of the planned one month and we were travelling around Europe together. The hostel idea for us is very similar to couch surfing, but we find in North-America couch surfing is more popular..

We live a funny life working in Canada but trying to make it to Europe to visit family once or twice a year. Meanwhile we stop at different cities each time to explore a bit on the way.

This time we have two days in London, UK, January 13-14, 2015..

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Best most entertaining way of travelling. LOVE getting to know new cool people - they know the best spots in each city..

Wife used to travel a lot for work and she always found the fancy hotels sad and lonely - very strange to the old hostel lifestyle we used to have.. People just do not talk to each other, do not watch movies together, do not play games or hang out at all.. Last time I stayed I was so lonely that I quit the whole lifestyle of travelling for international conferences and went back to the old hostel life..

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

summer of 2014, together with Mel's sister we all decided to jump out of a tiny plane, in between the mountains, up high in the sunshine.. crazy and amazing at the same time- we all loved it!!
Repelling deep down into the glow worm caves of New Zealand and then tubing through the underground rivers with only the bio-luminescent light of the glow worms to guide us.
