About Me

First of all, I am staying in Bethlehem, not Jerusalem. I wish I could set "Bethlehem" as my official location but this website won't let me. It's likely due to a glitch with the Google maps plugin (which happens to omit a lot of important cartographic information of the West Bank). Luckily, Bethlehem is so nearby that it's basically a suburb of Jerusalem. It's only 30 to 40 minutes South via the Damascus Gate Bust Station.

Also, I live with my brother. You can see his couchsurfing account at https://www.couchsurfing.com/people/walter.brynjolfson.

We get a lot of requests so IF you ask to stay, please acknowledge where we live. Our general rule is to give an automatic NO to people who don't read our profiles.

I am a young Canadian living in Bethlehem, in the West Bank.

Feel free to come stay at my place in the old city, down the street from the Church of the Nativity. It's a great location in what is a unique, historically important place.

About myself: I have been living here since September, teaching French and tutoring English.

I I like traveling. I like seeing new places. whether its gorgeous countryside views or neat city streets. The world abounds with plenty to do and see.

I have a B.A. in English Lit and a TESL certificate. I taught in South Korea and am likely going to back to Canada later to become a registered teacher.

I like learning about psychology, politics, self-development and most other topics. Learning in general is awesome.

I live here with my brother, who also has a couchsurfing account. We have a sturdy couch for you to crash at.
