I'm a thoughtful, kindhearted, quiet soul who loves life itself. I want to become my best self, radiant with peace and joy.

I try to appreciate the little things in my day to day, and have adventures along the way!

My philosophy is to try to be present to life itself, be thoughtful to others, and be free. I try to see the divine in everyone, and act accordingly. I have an open-mind, and am a deep thinker.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing makes travel more fun. It's great to meet different, random people. Seeing a bit of someone's life and hearing their opinions is a kind of privilege. The most memorable parts of travel are always the friends we make along the way.

I have hosted before and have been a couch-surfer too. It's been a while but I know it's a good experience.

Interests

I have a lot of interests. I've tried a bunch of hobbies, and am open to new ones.

Psychology and spirituality are what I like to talk about most. Speaking of which, these days, I am starting to identify as a Zen Quaker haha.

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite music: lots of good stuff out there across most genres. Ultimately, I think my favorite bands are Ivan and Alyosha, Clutchy Hopkins and Nirvana.

Favorite movies: Hard to say. Lots of great ones.

Favorite book: Lots of good ones. I'll go with the Alchemist by Paolo Coelho but I read it recently so that affects my choice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived in a semi-monastic religious community for two years.
I taught in the Palestinian Territories.
I've overcome a lot of challenges.
I've written poetry.
