ABOUT ME
Hey there! I'm David, from Montréal, Québec. About me: I like to spend good time with friends, learn tons of new things, specially languages, and meet knew people. I like to discuss about everything to exchange views and knowledge. Discovering new cultures and sharing mine with others is one of my interests. I'm very interested in health issues and social justice. I used to work part-time as a tourist guide in Montréal and I love my job, meeting so many people from so many parts of the world, and helping them discover my city is always a pleasure! In the last 2 years I’ve worked pretty much in every corner of Canada, seen aurora borealis and met so many diverse people it’s been a wild ride. I'm open-minded, easy-going and friendly (at least I think!) Really looking forward to meet you, either here or elsewhere on the globe!
PHILOSOPHY
You have to lose yourself to find yourself.
Also recently when asked about my religion I realized I believe in chaos 🤷🏻♂️
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Surfing, hosting, hanging out on the app.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfed in Europe during a trip from Croatia to Bordeaux, France, and along the Transcanadian on my cycling trip from Vancouver back to St. John's NL, Canada. Also couchsurfed in New Zealand, New York City, met cool CS in Portugal. Basically anywhere I go I try to couchsurf first before looking at other accommodation options, much more for the human contact than for saving a few bucks (which Im happy to do also haha) Started hosting last year which was amazing. Biiiig fan of the hangouts app, met so many nice people on it!
Interests
Health issues, outdoors - big fan -, politics, arts - mostly literature and cinema. Eating and drinking beer. Running, swimming and CYCLING!! Always cycling around with my tent, nothing like being powered by your two legs. Just discovered yoga, if you know anything about yoga and want to teach me here I am.

Music, Movies, and Books
This is ever evolving. I’m a big culture fan and I started a book club with my friends. Ask me about it :D
Shawshank redemption. Berlin is in Germany, Death proof, Der Leben der Anderen, Le diner de cons, Mujeres al borde de un ataque de nervios, Nordwand (yes I love german cinema), Into the Wild.
I've played the piano and cello for many years, so I like classical music a lot. Beethoven, Chopin, Schubert, Scriabin. Lately I listen to Alt-J, Tame Impala, Qualité model, independent quebecois music...
My favorite book of all time is L'écume des jours from Boris Vian.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Going accross Canada on my bicycle is definitely my best travel experience. Now I can't stop thinking about the amazing trips I could take either trekking or cycling, going from A to B in the wilderness.
Another was a roadtrip from Vancouver to Montreal with my best friend where so many crazy stuff happened (I did cross Canada from coast to coast at least 4 time)
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach French, practice Spanish and German, stuff about medicine, health, Québec's history, bike touring.
I want to learn more about philosophy and creativity, become fluent in German. Yoga newly, meditation, your culture, your views of the world.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Many experiences, many facts about Montreal, medicine, music. Laundry space, good vibes, experiences, a couch, a beer, some Québécois gin.
