I am 24 year old student from the Czech Republic and I am currently living in my hometown Ostrava

I graduated high school with a focus on architecture in 2012. But I was decided to change my specialization so right now I am studying at VŠB - Technical University of Ostrava, Faculty of Safety Engineering.
My field is Safety and Security Planning. Its focued on civil protection.

I have no problem to communicate in English, I studied German for 4 years and right now i am learning russian. I would be happy to practice any other language as well :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As everyone here, I am hungry for new experiences. I love to explore new places, culture, people, habits, food and beers. I also would like to improve my English skills.
I believe CS is one of the best ways to accomplish that.

On the other hand i want to introduce my hometown Ostrava to everyone who is curious about this industrial city. Ostrava has bad reputation inside Czech Republic, but there is lot of great places where you can spend free time.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music

I dont mind any kind of music, i love to explore new genres and artists. Fortunately, I can attend multi-genre music festival called Colours of Ostrava which takes place in my hometown every summer and i can recommend this festival to everyone! :)

Movies

I consider myself a big fan of art movies around the whole world and right now I take little pleasure in recent blockbuster movies. My 5 favourite well-known directors would be Tarantino, Kubrick, Fincher, Hitchcock and Lars von Trier.

Books

I read a lot so i have a lot of favourite books, mostly Classical Literature. But I also like fantasy (A Song of Ice and Fire and others) and sci-fi (Star wars and others) series. On the other hand, I am fan of British humour so i like parodies of sci-fi and fantasy (Douglas Adams and Terry Pratchett are the best!)
