ABOUT ME

I'm David. I'm currently doing a Ph.D in Physics at the University of Oregon. I love getting outdoors and hiking/biking/skiing/climbing and am always up for a good adventure.

For my Ph.D, I'm studying the motion of objects 100000 times thinner than a human hair. Basically, I make tiny things wiggle.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I made an account several years ago and then forgot about it when I ended up not being able to host anyone. Recently, our house has been hosting people through one of my roommates couchsurfing and I've had a wonderful time chatting with people we've hosted. Now I have the chance to travel and would love to meet some people who can show me around!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the opportunity several years ago to spend 6 months working at a physics lab and living in a small Italian mountain village of 300 people.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Knowledge of the universe! Seriously, I've spent the last 8 years of my life learning and teaching physics and am happy to explain the weirdness that is our world.

Other than that, I love talking to people and sharing adventures. I've been to a lot of seriously amazing places and can trade stories.
