About Me

ABOUT ME

I like bike trips, hiking in the Swedish countryside and elsewhere, going out, meeting fun women and men, learning languages, taking in cities, taking in nature and lots of other cliché stuff :D

PHILOSOPHY

None in particular. I try to enjoy life as much as I can and worry as little as possible! Although the latter isn't always as easy as it should be ;-)
Other than that, I guess I just try to be nice to other people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've done some surfing a couple years ago. After that, I hosted a handful of people, but since my space is limited, it's been a while.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I had my CS baptism in the summer of 2009 where I couchsurfed in several cities across Canada and the US: New York City, Montreal, Toronto, Seattle and Vancouver.
In 2010, I couchsurfed in Eastern Europe: Krakow, Ljubljana, Budapest.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love watching movies. My taste is quite varied, and I can enjoy anything from the random action flick (if I'm in the right mood) to more niche independent movies. I hate name-dropping (probably because I suck at it), but Tarantino is an obvious (and cliche) hit.

In music, my taste is maybe even more varied. I like pop, folk, rock, most rap music, and opera. What I enjoy most is probably North American music from the 60s and 70s (Neil Young, for instance) as well as current-day mainstream rock (think Coldplay, The Killers, Red Hot Chili Peppers).

Sadly, I don't read as much as I would like to. I have read some Paul Auster, and loved it. In general, I like reading contemporary American novels. Also, the occasional Danish novel.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ten years ago, I roadtripped across North America with friends. That was amazing. It also consisted of several smaller amazing experiences, of natural beauty, of amazing binge drinking and of other amazing stuff.
When I was 13, I hiked on the Inca trail in the Peruvian Andes mountains with my parents. We saw the sunrise over Machu Picchu, which was neat, too.

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Iceland, Laos, Montenegro, Norway, Serbia, Sweden, Thailand, United States
