About Me

Hi, I'm David. I make websites and sometimes make video games. I enjoy deep conversations, creativity, and ear flap hats. I am pretty independent and that is probably what drove me to start my own web consulting business right out of college. I love my job since it is intellectually challenging and allows me to move around at will. My someday goal is to finish making a computer game and get it on Steam. In my spare time over the last several years I've livestreamed video game programming on Twitch.tv, a curious concept that involves ~40 people watching my screen as I write computer programming code. The internet is weird and silly but also pretty neat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I joined Couchsurfing because I have lived in a small town my entire life and have finally decided to get out and see the world. I am visiting Europe this fall to teach at a college in Lithuania, and when I get back I want to move to a city.

Because my work is completely remote, there is no real reason to live anywhere in particular, so I'd like to visit a lot of places in order to see what cities I like the best. Couchsurfing seems like a great way to meet cool people who know about their city.

Interests

Computer programming, Dance Dance Revolution, ultimate, languages (both spoken and programming)

I'm starting to learn music and art. I want to make that a larger part of my life. I'm hoping there will be more opportunities to collaborate in a city.
