ABOUT ME

I graduated from Ohio State University in 2007 with degrees in biomedical engineering, economics, psychology, and entrepreneurship (seriously!). I have worked in the food service industry for eight years of my life (as server, cook, cashier, and dishwasher). To generate income at the present time, I tutor college students, freelance as a ghostwriter, and occasionally work on a landscaping crew.

You might rightly guess that I am a jack of all trades personality with a broad knowledge base and the ability to learn quickly through observation or instruction.

I have successfully tended five different organic garden plots for the past two years. Thus I am knowledgeable about many techniques of organic gardening. I am practiced with organic amendments such as worm castings, kelp meal, & alfalfa meal!! Feed the soil's microbial life-web and a healthy plant will grow effortlessly. I desire to learn from permacultural experts about the best practices of profitable (people, people, profit) organic farming, aeroponics, agro-forestry, and other sustainable systems.

In addition to being an enthusiastic gardener, I am an author, part-time inventor, and aspiring entrepreneur in the sustainable business & clean energy industries.

I wrote a trilogy of three futuristic science fiction books (www.spoey.com). Currently I am working on an autobiographical writing project. My twitter handle is @omnispo

Lastly, I am also currently preparing to startup my first business venture involving sustainable energy and solar power.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch-surfed on many friends' sofas/floors, in San Diego, San Fransisco, and many places in Ohio (Oxford, Columbus, and Cincinnati). I am looking forward to my first official couch-surfing experience!

Interests

I am a enthusiastic organic gardener (29 yrs old from Ohio).

I love to work hard under the sunny sky, surrounded by the life of nature. I feel at home around animals (even humans:-)) and especially plants. I am an active and constructive listener, and have been told I am easy to get along with. I love both socializing and solitude. I love meeting new people, reading, music, hiking, and writing. For meals, I am an omnivore and very flexible. I enjoy fruits, healthy meats, organic carbs, no-GMOs!, nuts, seeds, & steamed vegetables greatly!

I am excited to learn from organic farmers and permacultural experts about organic farming, aeroponics, agro-forestry, and many other sustainable bio-systems.
