I am an 18 year old male from the Netherlands. I recently graduated high school and I now have a gap year. For the last 6 months I have been working a full-time job at a lunchroom. Now I have saved up enough money to travel 4-5 months. I want to document it all so I will always be able to look back on it. Outside of work I hang out with my friends and family a lot. I also like to follow a lot of vloggers on Youtube such as Ben Brown, Erik Conover and Casey Neistat.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to be able to enjoy the countries I am visiting through a local's eyes. I think sleeping over at someone's house gives me a greater experience and a broader perspective of the living conditions of the place/country I am visiting. I also think the house owners can tell me more about the surroundings and what to visit than some guide can. Furthermore I really enjoy the social concept behind couchsurfing as it is an easy way to meet new people from all around the world.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favorite song at the moment is either 'Ultralight Beam' by Kanye West or 'Weight in Gold' by Gallant. However I do listen to a wider variety of genres. I watch a lot of series on Netflix such as Orphan Black, Modern Family and Black Mirror.
