About Me

Insanity avoidance companion

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

During my travels I've experienced true kindness and generosity many times from people I've just met. While home, this is my opportunity to give back to others.

Interests

I enjoy what I study and some day would love to work in the field of space optics to design meaningful instruments that help us better understand this planet and the Universe in general.
In my free time cycling and running is what I am passionate about. Finishing Europe's Transcontinental race after graduation is a little dream of mine.

Music, Movies, and Books

As is grow and learn more about the world around me, the artists I listen to, books I read etc. change too. Sometimes I find a book at home, which I had passed by for many years but suddenly seems like just what I wanted, I re-watch a movie that made no sense the first time and now it does. What books we read, what songs we listen to and the movies we watch represents our state of emotions, interests and curiosity . Each piece has an emotional value to it, a message and a meaning, and as we change, the feelings we feel, the messages we understand and the meanings we are looking for also change. Thus I can't name you any favourites because I don't have any, rather you could ask what have I enjoyed recently and I would be happy to share.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Slept in a tent in a wine-yard. It was a completely spontaneous and magical experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

There is a saying in Latvian "Dots devējam atdodas". Basically it means that what you give is what you get back. Be good to the world, and the world will be good to you.
