Hi! My name is Dawid – but most people call me Dave. I'm a travel enthusiast, scuba diving instructor, husband, and dad. A few years ago, I visited French Polynesia for the first time… and I was hooked. That trip changed my life — I fell in love with the ocean, the local culture, and the tropical way of living. Since then, my mission has been to share the beauty and spirit of the Pacific with others.

I founded Pacific Vibes, a project born out of my passion for Polynesia. Its goal is to introduce Polish people to the culture, lifestyle, and natural beauty of the Pacific Islands. I help organize custom trips to French Polynesia and also lead small group expeditions, where I share my knowledge, experience, and deep love for this region.

During one of my stays, I lived with a local family on the island of Moorea through WorkAway — an experience that gave me a deeper understanding of Polynesian life, traditions, and hospitality from the inside.

I also work as a scuba diving instructor at Deepspot – the deepest pool in Europe, reaching 45 meters – where I guide people through their first underwater experiences and help them grow their diving skills.

Day to day, I organize trips, teach diving, and run my brand Pacific Vibes. In my free time, I play with my kids, explore new tech trends, and enjoy building things with my hands. I feel most at home barefoot, surrounded by greenery and sunshine — like I was born for the tropics.

I believe nothing is impossible — all you need is passion and a bit of courage.

I'm here because I believe in the power of human connection. I love listening to real stories, discovering local perspectives, and learning about things you won’t find in guidebooks. For me, travel is not just about places — it’s about people, their everyday lives, traditions, and the way they see the world.

Through Couchsurfing, I hope to meet locals who can share their culture in a personal, authentic way — not just the tourist version. I want to see places off the beaten path, experience everyday life, and better understand what makes each place truly unique.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you scuba diving or share some cool underwater stories. I’d love to tell you about Polish culture, history, or even teach you a bit of the Polish language if you're curious. I’m also pretty handy – I enjoy fixing things, building, and helping around the house. No challenge scares me, and I’m always happy to lend a hand, learn something new, or simply share a good conversation.
