Hi Great Dawn-ing everyone. I am a very young at heart approaching 60 years young, woman.
I have 2 grown sons and 5 beautiful grandchildren. I am, what I would call semi-retired, as I'm in the process of setting up my small spiritual healing and coaching business.
I discover the love of 'proper' travel in 2018.
My sister worked high up, in the travel industry for years, but it was never something I took advantage of.
Yes! I'd take my children on holidays, but that was more about making memories and spending quality time with them.
Then my boys grew up and flew the nest, but I still, for many years travel did not enter my head.
Then after a somewhat dark period in my life and coming through the other end, I came across an advert for a 2 countries tour. Totally out of my comfort zone and having never travel alone I found myself paying the deposit. There was no turning back.
I met some amazing strangers, who are now life friends and this is where my travel began. some of us even did more travel together, which then led me to exploring more travel. So here I am.
It's never too late.

Tbh, this is something out of my comfort zone, but also something I looked at years ago, and bypassed for that same reason. But I've come to realise that I am passing up so many opportunities to meet great people of all ages and cultures.
I stayed in a hostel once in Tenerife, and shared a room with 3 young ladies. I actually became good friends with one of them, who was younger than my sons and I ended up visiting here in her home town. We are still friends 6 yrs later. It's time to step out into the world of wonderful people and fellow travellers, especially as a solo traveller.

Went zip-lining across the rainforest in Costa Rica.
Para-glided in Turkey.
Went camel riding in the Sahara 🏜 4am in the morning to watch the sunrise on my birthday.
Entered the Kings Chambers in The Great Pyramid in Egypt, and Chanted at the sarcophagus. On a private group tour.

Yes, yes and yes. This is what make the world a better place. Until we leave this earthly place, there is always something to learn. 2 people never have the exact same experiences so sharing and teaching what we know is a great thing.
