About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Pay it forward....

ABOUT ME

I always have some type of project going on and enjoy tinkering, especially on bicycles. I enjoy running and just finished my first marathon which was a fun challenge. Supporter of local arts, street art, and re-use programs. Very open to trying new things and learning about other cultures which I think makes the world a better place for everyone!

PHILOSOPHY

Focus on today.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I mostly participate by hosting at the moment.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I enjoy hosting, and have surfed in Belgium, Canada, Norway, and Denmark. Surfing has made my trips sooooo much better - it's the best local experience! Surfing has also given me ideas on how I can be a better host.

Interests

Backpacking, bicycling, bicycle touring and bikepacking, non-fiction, dub reggae, jazz, minimalism, things that are designed well, dill pickle sunflower seeds, good bourbon, local six-packs, and anything brewed by Abita.

Music, Movies, and Books

David Sedaris is hilarious. I'm slightly addicted to documentaries and independent films, but not a fan of the television. Just ask and I'll tell you what I'm currently reading/watching. :)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

1. Being humbled by the kindness of strangers while traveling.
2. Swimming in bioluminescent waters off a small island at night and watching my skin sparkle.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: I work on bikes all the time and can show you how to fix any issues you might be having. I can also share ultralight backpacking/bikepacking techniques to help reduce the weight you're carrying.

Learn: Improving my Spanish and Japanese language skills, Freeganism ethics and tips, welding.

Share: A good meal and great conversation.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, Costa Rica, Denmark, France, Haiti, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, Norway, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, Tanzania

Countries I’ve Lived In

Japan, United States
