About Me

I'm a Jersey girl who spent the past two years living abroad in South Korea. I took a few months off to process the experience and worked on a book of poetry before moving out to California. I'm getting settled into my new life--new job, new city, new career path (English teacher --> recruiter) and I'd love to trade stories!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I had an awesome experience CouchSurfing in California back in 2014, and have helped CSers out when I was living in Seoul. I hope to continue meeting great people through this site.

Music, Movies, and Books

American Beauty has been my favorite movie since high school. I've loved every book I've read by Toni Morrison, Paulo Coelho, and Virginia Woolf. Favorite poets at the moment are Ocean Vuong and Kim Kyung Ju.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hiked the tallest mountain in South Korea, Mt. Halla, alone in the spring when azaleas began to bloom on the mountain. I loved spending that time alone with nature and challenging myself to power through something tough only depending on myself. As soon as I got to the peak, it started raining and I basically ran back down!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to write different types of poems! And probably some basic tap steps if you have a hardwood floor :) I'm always happy to swap stories with people about their travels, hometowns, and passions.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can teach you some Korean or write a poem for you!

Countries I’ve Visited

Cambodia, Costa Rica, Japan, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
