ABOUT ME

I just graduated from College with an Art degree. I love art, making it and experiencing it, living it in fact. I also LOVE to dance, lindy hop is the dance of choice, which is an old school form of swing that goes back to the 1920's. I would really like to dance in other parts of the world where they share my love for lindy hop to see what spin they have on the dance. The style of it even differs from state to state in the U.S. I would like to expand my dance vocabulary through travel. I love photography as well. Nature is especially inspiring to me, so I try to capture that through the lens of my camera. I love children, and intend to write and illustrate children's books and put that degree of mine to good use. I think the most valuable things in life are people and experiences, the rest is just stuff! I want to fill my life up with the former and not the latter. I believe in living simply and compassionately.

PHILOSOPHY

Be compassionate, live simply, take things one day at a time, and make it count. Don't forget to notice the beautiful and good that is going on around you, and make sure to be a part of it!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I want to share my couch with fellow travelers who are respectful, responsible and have a zest for life. In doing this I hope to make new friends and share the city I love so much (seattle) with people from other parts of the world. I prefer, for safety reasons, to only share my couch with women, sorry guys! I can make exceptions if you are a guy referred to me by a trusted acquaintance, but otherwise I'm pretty firm on this point. I would also like to be received into homes of fellow couchsurfers, once again women only, during my travels.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I don't have any couchsurfing experiences, I have hardly even traveled beyond the borders of my own country, this must change!

I think I can teach about dance and art, about experiencing life in a full way, and about developing a good relationship with oneself and others. I also could learn a lot more about all of these things from people with different takes on them.
