About Me

Hey-hey! Nice to meet you there!
My name is Darya, but friends usuallly call me Dasha.
I may consider myself a happy girl, since I value real little things and appreciate each opportunity that opens up to me. My greatest fear is the state of emptiness and loneliness, so I really like people surrounding me, I'm fond of communicating and getting acquainted with new people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

That’s a question which checks the sincerity of CS users I guess, since everyone is trying to create their own story about the actual reason of using this app.
A couple of years ago I opened it up for me with my friend, since we were students and didn’t have any financial support, therefore we didn’t have any other opportunity to travel except asking other people to have a night or two in.

Now when married for me it’s more about the adventure, meeting new people and getting to know the culture from the first view of the locals. It’s like, you know, going to your country’s restaurant with a foreign cuisine in it, but knowing that the chief is from this country. You are as if confirmed that the dishes there are going to be fantastic. The same here. I’m going to a country to a local to have a trip of my life full of cultural experience. That’s what I’m looking for in Couchserfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music is mostly connected with the genre of pop or pop-rock.
The favourite song - Maroon 5 - "Memories"
The book - Gaston Leroux "The Phantom of the Opera"
I like watching movies and series with my husband. Out of the favourite ones are “The Vampire Diaries” and “The Last Client”.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I like this particular line to answer since I consider it a very good chance to get to know what is valuable for the person in their life. For me the greatest step was getting out of my comfort zone and starting working as an English tutor for international students. Once I overcame the fear of being not accepted or denied, all the boundaries that occurred to be only in my head, and started working hard to achieve my other both minor and unlikely-looking dreams.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have a lot of wonderful stories to tell.
As I have already mentioned, I'm a veeeeeery talkative person, so I guess we'll always find some funny or, vice versa, serious stories to discuss. Also I like photography, so I could become a great companion for some photosession if you need such.
I will tell you many things about my culture, our traditions and customs, and you'll also get some kind of souvenir from me.
