My name is Dayle Kroeker-Tom. I come from Canada and have had the pleasure of travelling coast to coast in my own beautiful land as well as many others around the world. I started travelling over 3 years ago and haven't quit yet. I love music, I love being outdoors, camping and having a good story. Meeting people along the way is always the highlight of any good adventure, so lets meet!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have only had positive experiences through couch surfing and have met alot of fantastic people through this website. I love the idea of strangers hosting strangers as this is something that happens a lot to me when Im travelling and having a website to organize it makes it just so much easier to make friends and find a solid couch to crash. Mostly I have couch surfed with friends so all of the places Ive been arent all shown on my profile unfortunately I've fallen out of touch with many of them and so if my profile looks a little bare its my own lack or organization that is to blame. That being said I've also had the good fortune to host a few excellent people along the way, although usually I don't have a real address to do so but I give back every opportunity that I get. Guaranteed if I'm driving and I see you hitchhiking you will be in my car ASAP.

Music, Movies, and Books

I really do love a variety of music, from folk to blues to rock to jazz. If I have my guitar with me Ill probably be trying to play bluegrass and working on my fingerpicking.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I hitchhiked from LA up to Vancouver Island in the middle of winter with nothing but a bag of clothes, a tent and about 180 USD. Made some money busking, caught a train out of San Francisco, made friends in Portland and the rest is history.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can make you a very simple pasta that Italian friends taught me to make! Also I'm happy to sit around playing music, teach you how to play ukulele (if you have one) or practice English with you. I'm always happy to learn a new recipe or try to make something new so if you want to cook or be cooked for I'm up for it.
