I am a Young Professional Engineer that likes to travel to travel on my vacations. Most of my adventures are spent backcountry camping with my partner. Unfortunately, I also attract Mosquitos like no other so it really restricts the camping season around Ottawa.

I still enjoy a wide range of ther outdoor activities during other seasons (cycling, kayaking, canoeing, sports, hiking, snowboarding, snowshoeing) either when we are travelling or staying close to home.

I joined couchsurfer to find and provide more economical and sustainable accomodations. We have started to move away from using Airbnb due to its affect on rental markets, but sometimes struggle with hotels because of lack of cooking facilities while trying to stay on budget.
