About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet some folks, hopefully travel a bit.

ABOUT ME

Wow ALL about me? I doubt that, but here are some tidbits.

-Father...grandfather....son....friend
-Liberal, former Democrat
-Single...hopefully not forever, but I'm enjoying it. Feel free to fix me up with your gay uncle if he's nice.
-Love old houses....still Americanized enough to think that Victorian era is old. Now living in a 1920's Bungalow that I rescued. It also rescued me, of course.

PHILOSOPHY

Wow that's a deep question for a Sunday morning.

For now we'll go with "All things in moderation, including moderation."

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I LOVE Dayton Ohio....not a phrase you hear every day but it's the absolute truth.

I enjoy showing people around this great little city whether it's the neighborhoods, the parks and events or even (God forbid) the Air Force Museum.

I don't get out of town as much as I used to but will hopefully be able to fill couches in a few places in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I'm new to the web site but very familiar with this type of travel.

I used to work for American Friends Service Committee, a Quaker social justice organization, as a community organizer. We frequently slept on couches, floors, back yards, wherever to keep expenses down.
