I am a current undergraduate 4th year at the University of Rochester in Rochester, NY. I am studying epidemiology with an end career goal of international research and ultimately a Ph.D. I am a first generation Mexican-American, also known as a Chicano, who loves food, culture, and taking risks. I am naturally inquisitive so literally challenge me and I will tackle it in the best way that I can.

I want to enhance my independence and explore new places around the world! Born and raised in NYC, I was always exposed to different people but never a full experience of their culture. Traveling and exploring different parts of the world among different people allows me to do this. Coming from Mexican parents who immigrated to the United States when they were teenagers has made me realize how fortunate I am to be able to travel and experience new beginnings. I am willing to make the most out of an experience with my curiosity and risk-taking attitude.
