Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Travel around the world , learn, and have fun.
ABOUT ME
I was born and brought up in India till I was 19, then came to the US for a Bachelors in Computer Science, then I went on to Virginia Tech. for a Masters in Industrial Engineering. Live and work in Minneapolis, MN now and love it here. It's become my home away from home.
PHILOSOPHY
My philosophies evolve, but basically I say - C'est La Vie!
Live and let live.
Never give up on your dreams.
Be kind and forgiving, and strong and respectful not only to others, but to yourself.
Hard work brings the best kind of luck. There is no substitute to that.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I travel internationally when I can, so I hope to build a network through CS and experience new cultures. Similarly, I hope I can host people traveling to the US.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I usually stay in hostels/ hotels when I travel with friends. But in 2009 I was traveling to Italy on my own, so I thought it was a great opportunity to see how hosting works, and make new friends in the process. I got to stay with 2 different hosts and both were awesome and gracious! I got to see their side of life and did some sight-seeing! Great experience!
Interests
Engineer by trade in the medical industry. I run, play basketball, read, try out new bars and restaurants, and am usually open to trying anything fun and adventurous! I love music too, all kinds, and I am learning salsa dance. I can break a leg!

Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: Bourne series, Rocky series, Old School, Gladiator, Forrest Gump.
I like too many books and lots of music artists to list here.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The next day after running the Honolulu Marathon in Dec., 2010, sky-dived at the north shores near Honolulu, Hawaii.
Another time, randomly decided to rent a motorcycle and ride to my friend's cabin, 6 hrs ride. It was terrifying and fun! I've grown up riding motorcycles in India, but it was my first time in the US and on such a long journey!
