About Me

CURRENT MISSION

to find my current mission, which I'll be able to describe in just one sentence.

ABOUT ME
(I have written it a long time ago, a lot happened since then and it is outdated a bit, but I don't like writing about myself, so I have no idea when I will finally get to updating it:)

The more one knows about himself and the more intrapersonal he is, the harder it is for him to describe his own personality in just a few sentences.
But I'll try.

I love exploring the world and although mental developement is really important to me, I also enjoy physical activities, especially cycling, swimming, sailing (but I'm new to it) and especially trekking in the mountains.
I would love to meet a lot of people from different places, different cultures and to hear their life stories.

PHILOSOPHY

In search of secular sacrum.
Also, avoiding stagnation.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Sometimes I host, sometimes I surf.
Would love to host all the time, but unfortunately I usually don't have a room for that.

Interests

I'm interested in many things, but limited amount of time forces specialization, so I'm trying to specialize.
I'm studying cognitive science. The typical answer to that is "what the hell is it?", so, in short, it is kind of inderdisciplinary connection of psychology, neurobiology, philosophy and computer science, and the main goal of it is studying how do the mind, conciousness and our way of seeing the world work.

Actually, asked about my interests I could reply with 'everything'. Not literally, of course, because, for example, I don't think that I'm really interested in nuances of milling machine operating, but "everything" meaning that I find humanities and pure science interesting, along with widely understood art, travelling, survival, culture and people themselves. I can't imagine myself spending my lifetime in one place on Earth (maybe it will change when I'll get older and more wise, who knows), neither living without books or music.
But, all in all, the most important are people, their connection, relationships, feelings and beliefs.
Always.

Music, Movies, and Books

just examples in here:

Movies - Azuloscurocasinegro, Lost in Translation, Broken Flowers, Amelie, Les Amours Imaginaires, Pink Floyd The Wall, One Day, Limits of Control, Jesus Christ Superstar (1973), Fiddler on the Roof, Monthy Python and the Holy Grail and many others
Doctor Who series too :)

Music - Pink Floyd, Marillion, Tool, King Crimson, Mozart, Loreena McKennit, Ronan Hardiman, Ennio Morricone, Andrew Lloyd Webber
Prog rock is one of my favourites, but I also like classical music, folk music (celtic, slavian etc.) and of course some crazy music like 70's and 80's pop :D

Books - M. Zimmer Bradley, G. Orwell, T. Pratchett, N. Gaiman, J.R.R. Tolkien, R. Zelazny, J. Zajdel, A. Sapkowski, W. Gombrowicz, I. Stewart, W. Sierpinski
These are just examples, because I love reading and I read almost everything, maybe except for romance novels.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hard to tell. When I decide at last, I'll post something in here.

Teach, Learn, Share

Maybe I could cook something, although I'm not as good as I'd like to be, but I'll get better, I promise :D

I can teach you interesting things about mathematics (although that's not very interesting for most of the people, and I've been outside of this field for a little while) and also can tell you about Poland and its culture, which, I think, is not really well-known, for I have heard many questions suggesting that it is Siberia-like :D

I'll be thrilled to learn anything, but especially something about your country, culture and all the other things that you will not really find in guides.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Croatia, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Israel, Italy, Monaco, Montenegro, Morocco, Norway, Portugal, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Switzerland, Ukraine, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In
