ABOUT ME

I work as a journalist for a Canadian newspaper. The best part of my job is that it allows me to meet interesting new people every day; I find it hard to believe I get paid to do what I do. My primary interests are politics, international affairs and sports - but I'm interested in more or less anything anyone wants to talk to me about.

I'm the older brother of three awesome siblings. I like Indian food and Italian food and Ethiopian food and Middle Eastern food and pretty much all other food. I have a degree in business administration from a school everybody seems to respect but which I found quite terrible. Perhaps paradoxically, I love both sleeping in and staying up way too late. When I interviewed 50 Cent, he touched my wrist so often I thought he might be flirting with me. I go to many, many NBA basketball games. Among my favourite artists are Tupac Shakur and the Backstreet Boys.

Music, Movies, and Books

Almost all of my favourite movies are documentaries. My musical taste is pretty ludicrous - among my favourite artists are Tupac Shakur, Smokey Robinson and the Miracles, the Four Tops, Jim Croce, AC/DC, the Eagles, Boyz II Men, the Notorious BIG, the Backstreet Boys, and satirical Swedish singer Magnus Uggla. (Though I don't speak Swedish.) My favourite type of music is Motown soul. Sadly, I can't find much time to read books anymore, but I read several newspapers and magazines, and many many political blogs, on a daily basis. My favourite TV shows ever are The Wire, The West Wing and Seinfeld.
