About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To share with others my love for this city.

ABOUT ME

'ELLO!

Welcome to the internet version of me.

I'll try and put as much shit in lists as possible cause:

- list
- are
- easier
- to
- read

PHILOSOPHY

- Take care of the earth, it's where I put all my stuff.

- be kind to strangers, even when you're shy, even when you're angry. compassion is the root to happiness.

- The only Zen you find on the mountain is what you bring... so prepare a small bottle of Zen before you go.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

(All of these things can be done sober or with a beer)

- trade life stories
- go to your nearest park and throw a frisbee around
- go on a bike ride around town (Im on a bike tour so this is pretty reasonable)
- play board games
- tune-up your bicycle
- be your wingman at a bar
- eating vegetarian only
- or eating meat
- if you have a kite, we're gonna go to a park and fly it and talk about existential shit like how unlikely it is that we actually even met
- if you offer me a shower in your house, I'll probably take it
- you will probably end up as an entry in my journal

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Zero through this website officially, but I have spent many-a-night sleeping on other people's couches, and have hosted several cars worth of people at my houses before (college students traveling into town for ultimate frisbee tournaments).

Music, Movies, and Books

Music:
http://www.last.fm/user/Dylansc

Books:
A lot of books on buddhist philosophy, (how to see yourself as you really are, buddha's brain, how to practice the way to a meaningful life). Books that overview scientific concepts with the awe (a short history of nearly everything, the selfish gene...) I'm hoping to start a few easy fun adventure reads next (ender's game, hunger games, harry potter).

I love reading academic textbooks, and getting broad understandings of scientific concepts.

Movies:
- The Kids are all right, olive the other reindeer, wall-e, the social network, contact, stardust, page one, annie hall, youth in revolt, lord of the rings, october sky, into the wild, inception, ferris bueller's day off, amelie, snatch, officespace, anchorman, pirates of the caribbean, (most) star trek movies, finding nemo, batman begins, the emperor's new groove, the lion king, once, little miss sunshine, forgetting sarah marshall, brick, up, kung fu panda, gladiator, whip it, scott pilgram vs the world, in the loop, where the wild things are, 500 days of summer, kiss kiss bang bang, city of god, no impact man
