About Me
***I'm currently trying to move home, so I'm not accepting requests too far in advance***. I'm an easy going guy. I live in the city centre, so great for transport, shopping and the other attractions. I volunteer at local events throughout the year. My philosophy is to be happy, life is too short for anything else.
I prefer to host people who are happy to explore by themselves, as I can be busy sometimes. But happy to explore if you’d like the company.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've hosted some lovely people, and it's always great to meet more from around the world and locally. I like to give back to other people, just as other people have helped me in the past.

Music, Movies, and Books
I think the best gig I've seen is Greenday, great songs and a fantastic stage presence/performance. As for books, I like easy reads, anything that provides a bit of escapism. I tend to like young adult books, as there is always a good story, and fast pace e.g Hunger Games, Harry Potter, Artemis Fowl, etc.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Lots of little things:
Lived the same day twice. I've travelled around the world. [crossed the international date line]
Cycled from Germany to Vienna.
Inter-railed throughout Europe.
Volunteered at the Olympics
Been a commonwealth games athlete [well a stand in on a dress rehearsal]
Travelled by train from New York, to Vancouver via Toronto
