ABOUT ME

I actually don't know where to begin. Gotta start somewhere I guess.
I can be very serious sometimes and when asked for my opinion I will never lie(even when I have an opinion that will cause upset)But on the other side of it I can be quite giddy and interactive.
I don't drink alcohol much, it just seems silly to me now, and by extension I don't really like nightclubs. Bars are cool though. Im not an active person for the fun of it. I try to live healthy though.
I have always wanted travel, since I was a child in fact, and always imagined that I would live somewhere exotic or liberal and technologically advanced. Or atleast somewhere that improves on Ireland.

Languages absolutely intrigue me, I just lack the drive to continue learning it. I have tried my hand at Russian, Norwegian,Spanish,German,French and Japanese with varying degrees of success. I really need somebody to learn with rather than on my own.

I will put more in here as it comes to me.

PHILOSOPHY

People say the most important thing in life is your health, I can't really argue with that. However the people in your life that you chose to love, friends or otherwise, are the most important thing to me. I would rather give somebody the opportunity to betray or disappoint me than not let them in, because I think that would a greater loss.
I also tend to have a very secular and pessimistic view on the world and people as a whole. I dont believe in religion although I do think they have their merits and I think we are all selfish at our core, just trying to make ourselves happy. But its what makes a person happy that defines them. What makes me happy is friendship, sharing of passions and experiences and of course love.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I haven't the slightest clue what I'm meant to write here. Um....I can do the dishes? I don't know. Each situation merits its own set of rules so I guess it depends. I would love to become a host myself when I have my own place. Which should hopefully be next week!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My roommate in my old apartment signed up to couchsurfing as a host, which was the first time I had ever heard of it. I thought it was a bit odd at first and was surprised how many people allowed complete strangers into their homes out of the goodness of their hearts. But now in retrospect it gives me hope for the world.

I would consider myself an amateur movie fanatic. Netflix cannot keep up with me. Simple as that. I tend to like movies based on my mood at the time.
Music is something I simply cannot live without. Since I was a child I have fallen asleep most nights listening to music. Thanks to my mothers broad aural palette I was listening to Chopin and Metallica from a young age which has moulded me in to enjoying all genres of music, expect for reggae (unless its some really good underground reggae)
I go through phases of reading maybe 3-4 books a week then nothing for 4 months. I am somewhat erratic in my readings. Mostly fictional if truth be told.

Booked a one way ticket to a country I have never been to before and went there the following week.
I have been a mechanic, social media/SEO/IT consultant, administrator, customer care representitve, long distance delivery driver and writer/editor...all in 3 short years.

People who are honest and fair. I cannot stand people who react to bad situations by lashing out. I find myself being a mediator in such circumstances.
The kind of people I would want to learn from would be those interested in teaching. That is all. Of course some people don't work well together so I don't really know.
