Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m currently travelling across Canada with my boyfriend and think that couchsurfing could be an amazing way to meet new people and experience culture in other provinces I’m not as familiar with.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a passionate social rights activist here in Canada. I love to talk politics but can avoid it when necessary ;) I've completed a four year honours degree in Social Development Studies here in Ontario and I can honestly say it was one of the best and most mind-expanding experiences of my life. Over the past few years I've been employed as a support worker at various organizations; a nursing home, group homes, day programs, classrooms and schools who work with the developmentally disabled folk, a women's shelter, and a couple of restaurants as a server/bartender. I love volunteering as a way to gain new experiences and chat with new people. I'm a Young Living essential oils distributor which means I can chat your ear off about organic essential oils if you're interested in buying and/or selling yourself. I'm also interested in learning more about and practicing more yoga and meditation.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I love to chat about anything and everything! I truly believe that the best way to experience a new country is to spend as much time as possible with any interesting locals I come in contact with. I'm a great listener and am of course very open to helping you out with any tasks or household chores. Although I am a globalist at the core, I love my own country as much as I love seeing other parts of the world.
