About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Planning my European adventure! France, Greece, and Turkey...here I come!

ABOUT ME

Avid backpacking traveler (been to six different continents...Antarctica's next!); lived in three different states; old fashioned yet contemporary; love to seek adventure; enjoy being up to date with news; suck at parallel parking; somewhat of a diva; big heart; giver; love to talk - all nighters; enjoys festivals; can't live without tv; completed a marathon; love pushing myself to the next level; vegetarian foodie; cynical; sarcastic; cheerful demeanor; independent; a proud Deafie and many more!

PHILOSOPHY

Savor every bit of the experience. Traveling is for us to learn, watch and listen...not rush through the moment...

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My couchsurfing virginity was taken last year and it was the BEST one ever... Vangelis was a great host in Thessaloniki! He showed me the sights and shared stories/facts. He also ooozed hospitality by cooking me vegetarian meals, doing my laundry and giving me rides around the city. I couldn't have asked for a better host... I'm ever so grateful that he was my first. He truly embodies the couchsurfing spirit and inspires me to be a host myself...

Interests

I'm a 1st grade teacher for Deaf, CODA, and hearing children (wanna know how that's done? We can discuss over wine 😀). When I'm not busy chasing after the little ones, reading, traveling, watching movies, dancing and dining out can be considered somewhat fun for me. Working on improving my home aesthetically is a hobby as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love all types of books...just recommend one and I'll read it. Am in a book club...if not for it...I probably wouldn't get around to finding time to read books! Movies, love the classic 80's, rom-coms, suspense, thriller, foreign, and pretty much anything except for horror/gore or westerns. Music...like I said...I'm deaf BUT I do love dancing to music. Food...I'm a foodie! It must be vegetarian though. Not picky about trying new stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've backpacked through Thailand and Cambodia alone. It was one of the most rich experiences I ever had! Met strangers and made them friends!

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to fingerspell your name in ASL, crochet a blanket, cook a vegetarian dish, and salsa dance!

I'd love to learn the language of your culture, folk dancing, surf, and how to rock climb (my upper body strength sucks!).

Countries I’ve Visited

Bulgaria, Cambodia, Canada, Cayman Islands, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Peru, Puerto Rico, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey

Countries I’ve Lived In
