I am working on creatingt my life, moments that mean something to me, people I want to keep, the people I want to meet, the way I am in a moment, the way I walk through my life. All of this can only happen through experiences...

ABOUT ME

I am new to my life. It took a lot to shake me awake but now I am finally alert in my skin. I teach Art, I love Art! I live for my kids, friends, and music.
If it is possible to suffer from seasonal disorder year round, I must because I hate to be inside! If it is in the woods, on a trail, in sunshine, snow, or rain... I am there!

PHILOSOPHY

My personal philosophy is Be In The Moment. I watch people (myself included) walk through life focused on the next thing, experience, person, object... and never giving time for where they are right now.
It is easy to become so disrespectful to the person you are with or to you (when you are working on an activity) to devalue it by changing your attention to appease another (or a blip on your phone). Being respectful of the moment means not allowing it to be interrupted by things that exist outside of the moment.
So what better way to find new experiences that exist in the real world instead of one that relays back and forth through our blackberry's. I want my moments to be real, filled with real people who want to experience life one moment at a time.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am new to CS. I think it is a fabulous idea and it motivated me to be a part of it in whatever capacity I can. So I will host when my schedule allows, surf when I can travel, and let people know about this fantastic way to know the world.

Interessi

My interests lie in Art, music, outdoors, and personal growth. Someday I would like someone to teach me to fly, sign language, and how to play Poker.

I have run two marathons, seen the earth from a hot air balloon, been a friend, been inspired by my students, and remembered fondly by enough of them to fill my soul for a long time... but the most fantastic thing I have seen is my own children growing and seeing the world with new eyes.

I can teach you to make a tree from wire, a portrait from plaster (or nothing at all), and how to make fantastic peanut butter "cookies" in 10 min.

I want to learn more then I am capable of containing!

I will share my couch, good will, and a cup of coffee.
