ABOUT ME

I am older but I don't really have a clue to my age...after all, age is just a number. I have two grown daughters & four grandchildren. I love to travel and cherish the time I spent traveling while in Africa and hope to eventually go back. I have my own Massage Therapy business. I still want to do more travel! US is actually pretty & I want to explore more of that. I will be semi-retiring this year and have more plans than money! That is why I say "semi-retire". I love to laugh & enjoy good conversation but I am not too good of a debater.

PHILOSOPHY

I try & live my life to the fullest while I can. At my age...the window is closing. I am not as judgmental of people as I used to be & not as hard on myself. I refuse to grow up, but hope to always grow. I dislike negative & arrogant people. Always remain teachable! I am a conservative Christian...but please don't stereotype me!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I discovered CS while in Africa! Even though this is a small town, ya never know when someone is looking for a place. I find it becoming more popular. My kids & friends think I'm crazy for opening up my home to strangers! I love to meet people & help however I can. In the future, I will look for CS to stay at when traveling.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have not stayed at anyone's house yet as a CS. I had a few people stay with me when I lived in Africa and it was a great experience. I've had only a few guests since back in the states and it has always been a good experience.

I love Eva Cassidy, jazz & blues and any easy listening music but also like to put on some oldies but goodies & go back to the 60's-90's music.
Books...just about every book becomes my favorite book!
I don't watch a lot of movies or TV. I wouldn't have cable if I didn't need internet

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

My experience with the US Peace Corps was something I don't regret, even though it was a challenge. Experiencing the ups & downs of living away from friends & family & living in a new culture for two years...not just a few weeks. The traveling experiences while in Africa were a challenge but so worth it. I continue to keep in contact with many of the people there!

I hope to go back to Africa & teach massage therapy in the high tourism areas so that women especially, can make a living!
