To see and experience as much as I can in this life. Enjoy every moment, every scent, sound and sight. To bring happiness to those around me, make a stranger smile. I want to look at my children yrs from now and smile knowing that the hard work paid off!

ABOUT ME

Wow...writing about oneself can be a bit daunting..:>) But here goes....I have been a single mom of 4 sons for 9+yrs now so children and work have pretty much been my life. No regrets though , it's been worth it! They are great kids.
Never left much time for traveling and exploring though. I had an absolutely wonderful opportunity a few years back to spend a month in Poland for my company. It was the FIRST time I had ever left the US or my kids so it was both an exciting and scary.There are not enough words to describe the feelings and sensations that I experienced. Everyone was so friendly! I didn't speak a word of Polish but could sit in the Old Towne Square at an open cafe' and not know a stranger and find some way to communicate and enjoy everyone I met. Ever since then I have had the travel bug.
It's not been till recently that I find myself in a position to finally start making my dreams of travel a reality.
I turn 41 September 2 of this year and my biggest dream has been to go to Italy to celebrate it. I won't lie to anyone, the idea of traveling to Italy alone is again both exciting and exilarating but also scary...lol but I can't wait!

PHILOSOPHY

It's taken me a long time and alot of life experiences to realize that life is to short to sit around just dreaming of the things I would like to do. It time to DO IT!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I still have a 13yr old son at home so opening my couch is still dificult at times. however, I actually started out on another hosting website and about 2yrs ago was able to host a young Australian girl that was taking a year of from Uni for 5 nights. My son loved her and the experience. We still email her. We are both open to hosting again.

I like good wine, music, architectural art. Nothing beats a nice evening spent with new and old friends over a glass of wine and a good meal..:>)
I am into trying new things...challenging my comfort zones and expanding my experiences. lol even thinking of trying sky diving! Just don't ever let my mother or sons know..:>)

I have the experiences that being a single mother brings, especially juggling a career at the same time. I have an uncanny ability to find laughter an humor in situations where most would only see tears...
