Finding my focus amongst the clutter.

ABOUT ME

I am up in the air right now. I feel torn between this crazy, appealing world that wants me to get down to it, tie myself to the mast and steer the straight course for me ship, and the world of art and romance that wants me to get down to it, jump overboard and start again. I want to make music and challenge myself every step of the way to come completely out of the protection of enculturation to brandish whatever power I think I have.

I am a thinker, an overly-concerned planner, a leader when the time is right, and a lover of all things true. I sing, I play some instruments, and I am looking to making that more central in my life.

I want to share my couch and couch-related experiences with you...unfortunately I don't have a couch right now, but I will soon hopefully.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I meet, I talk and support folks who come my way. I have little to offer for space and such right now, but I am available to help you out where ever it is I am. I've been very blessed in my own surfing experiences and look to do the same for you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Stayed with some friends in Melbourne, Australia on their mercifully long-enough couch...really good time except I was sick and a fever and a leather couch don't mix well.

Stayed with some friends in Tasmania, had a great time and felt very appreciated and trusted and cared for.

Surfed in Homer, AK, with a wonderful couple that inspired me and confirmed that walking your own path is the most important first step.

Surfed with some friends in Pullman, WA that reminded me of the beauty and excitement of school and the heaviness that sometimes surrounds that city.

I've meet with several surfers coming through Seattle and had a good and strange times with them.

Interesses

Music, mostly progressive rock and classical rock, with a healthy respect for: Blues, Jazz, Acoustic, Hand Drums, Choral singing, Synthesizer based tunes and anything catchy but not corny. I love to read books that put you in a time and a place all your own. See: Farhenheit 451 and For Whom the Bell Tolls. Love the outdoors and camping and pushing through those stubborn mentals barriers between us and the real world.

Uma Coisa Incrível que Eu Fiz

I enjoyed one of the most incredible sunsets ever. It was as if 5 different postcards all decided fill a different portion of the sky.

I've eaten, and had my world forever changed by, wild chili peppers in the hills of Laos.

I wrestled a black bear. One of these three isn't true.
