ABOUT ME

Des? A very young at heart doing what most of my friends did 30 years ago! (Travel) I am very active and fit and enjoy running, cycling, tramping, fishing, and music. Trying to learn guitar. I also love brewing great craft beer!
Kirsty? Also young at heart, very fit and active. Passionate Artist (painting) loves textiles and design? Other interests are travel, tramping, fishing, good food and drinking (Des quite enjoys this as well!)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Please note we have limited opportunities to host at the moment but will consider requests that reflect some effort on the part of the CS'er.

We are probably most comfortable with outgoing, young at heart people close to our own age, but have hosted and been hosted by some awesome younger people so are open minded on this subject.

If you just want a convenient place to stay for the night please look somewhere else. Cheers!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Des. I have cycled through the UK late 2009 but was only hosted 1 night via Warm showers, spending most nights freedom camping. I also went on a bus trip through Europe (very hectic and only saw brief snap shots!)Since returning home I have cycled South Island north to south and hosted a number of CS'ers.
Kirsty. Has traveled to Fiji, India, Morrocco and Spain and in 2012 we both spent 9 months cycling from Turkey tonSpain and then 3 months backpacking through SE Asia.
We prefer hosting fun loving people with mature and open dispositions who have taken time to read our profile. Copy and paste message requests are disrespectful so dont be surprised if we dont respond to them.
