About Me

Hey there,
I'm Nadine. I moved to Aberystwyth to study English. I'm a third-year undergrad and sadly only here for a year. But while I'm here, I want to see as many places in the UK as possible and meet just as much if not more people.
I love the urban lifestyle but chose to study in Wales to go on hikes and enjoy nature.
But sometimes I really miss the bigger cities. Especially going to live gigs. So while I'm travelling around the UK I try to make as much use out of being in a city as possible and would absolutely love if people are up to join me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

While I'm travelling, I wanna meet as many people as I can. I love making new friends and I think Couchsurfing is the right platform to do that and find likeminded people to hang out with.

Music, Movies, and Books

The best music is always live music. No matter what genre.

Some of my favourite movies include (subject to change): Swiss Army Man, Paterson, The Dead Don't Die, The Killing of Sacred Deer, The Men Who Stare at Goats...
I'm also a big fan of Absurdism.

Books: it's been a while since I read a book purely for my own enjoyment. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy the great classics (e.g. Frankenstein, Anna Karenina, The Great Gatsby) or great poetry (e.g. Ted Hughes). But if I had to choose, the works of Max Porter would be very high on my list of favourites.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’m more than happy to share my knowledge if any of my experience is helpful to you.
And if you ever find yourself in Germany (where I will go back to in July) I'm more than happy to host you too :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I have always lived with other people and consider myself to be quite considerate and respectful of other people’s things and spaces.
I'm vegan and can make some great vegan pancakes.
I am also always up for a good laugh and going out for a drink or two :)
