Overview
About Me
I am from Idukki, a very beautiful place in the southern state of Kerala, in India (http://idukki.nic.in/places.htm). After completing high school, I lived in a lot of different places in India (Bangalore, Calcutta, Bombay, Delhi). For the last few years, I have lived in England, France and Switzerland.
In my day job, I am a lawyer practicing international trade law (advising countries in their disputes in the World Trade Organization).
I love travelling, as I expect most people on this site do. When I travel, my interests are local food (I bite on anything that does not bite back), drink, history, nature, etc. I love to meet fellow travelers and local people. I am open minded and can go with pretty much anything that could be fun.
If you come to Geneva, please feel free to message me. Even when I can't host you, I can give great suggestions for places to see around Geneva.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
During my time in Bombay, I shared a flat with two other friends. One of them registered for Couchsurfing and invited a few travelers in. I had a great time showing them Bombay, talking about our experiences, trying to murder Europeans with the extra spicy Indian food (kidding). The best was an Argentine guy who stayed with us for a few weeks and learnt to sing a Bengali song by the time he left :) He also tried to teach us juggling, but failed miserably.
I moved out of Bombay in 2012 and have lived in England, France and Switzerland. During this time, I have come to learn that humans are capable of being friends with (or at least nice to) each other, no matter where they are from or what they believe in. My participation in couchsurfing is an effort to meet some interesting people as I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books
Going through a Salman Rushdie phase now. Midnight's Children remains my favourite. Some of my other favourites are in Indian languages Malayalam and Bengali. If you are interested, I would love to introduce them and find you translations.
On the movie front, I can't wait for Star Wars VII to release.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
That is topic for a conversation over a drink
Teach, Learn, Share
I can introduce you to literature and films in Indian languages (no not all Indian films are Bollywood). I can also teach you how to cook some Indian dishes, or at least how to survive the spices.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook an Indian meal if you don't mind the spices. I can bring you some Swiss chocolates too. But most importantly, I would love to share free flowing conversations.
