To realise the Self... or to at least get serious about it!

ABOUT ME

I'm a 21 year old fellow from the Chicago suburbs and I've been hanging around there most of my life. Recently, I've been trying to find out what life is about and it's led me into spiritual pursuits, especially from the Vedic or Hindu paradigm. I'm striving to lead a life based on those precepts, which includes advancing and improving oneself to help the community around by cultivating qualities like selfless service, humility, tolerance, seeing Divinity in all things, love, living in the present, and a non-violent, environmentally friendly consciousness.

I strive towards these ideals and appreciate like-minded association, contemplative individuals, and sweet interactions. I was hoping to further my studies by going to Kauai and experiencing ancient teachings of the Saiva Siddhanta church as well as the beautiful environment of the Garden Island. The harmonious aloha spirit and wonderful people I'm hearing about are a fantastic bonus.

I'm young & willing to listen and learn, enlivened by what is around me and trying to give back in whatever small ways I can.
