ABOUT ME

I just graduated college with a degree in English, and am not yet sure what I would like to do with my life. I love to travel and meet new people, experience new cultures, and treat every day as an adventure and opportunity to learn. I love listening to others' stories and life experiences and understanding different ways of thinking and living.

I'm a very hands on person and would love to eventually have a job where I could see myself making a tangible difference in the world or someone's life. I come from a very strong family background and count myself blessed every day to have such amazing parents and friends.

My friend Sara and I are traveling Europe this summer for four months in order to better understand the world we live in, and to find our place in it.

PHILOSOPHY

St. Augustine said, "Always add, always walk, always proceed. Neither stand still, nor go back, nor deviate." While I think its important to stand still from time to time, I think much of life is a struggle against getting stuck and never growing or changing. I try to live my life with this thought in mind.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I am brand new to couchsurfing, and unless you can count my friend Sara's couch on which I am a frequent surfer, I have never participated. I'm hoping to use CS this summer as I travel through Europe to find places to stay, as well as meet interesting new people.

My friend Sara and I did participate recently in CS BBQ in Washington, D.C. and had a great time getting to know all the local (and distant!) couch surfers. It was great meeting everyone and hearing everyone's experiences. I can't wait to start participating and meeting more couch surfers!
