ABOUT US

We are a nomadic patchwork family. We love to see the world close up and personal and explore as much as we can. We are still on the search for a good place to really call home, but the world is just too interesting to settle in one place yet....

This is the revival of our couchsurfing era.
This account was started in St .Augustine, FL by Sydney and Cassandra during college. Later Sydney and Johannes lived together in a shared house in the Netherlands were we reopened the account with a new location. New friends have joined our tribe and others have moved on. Years passed and at the moment we are renting two appartments in Berlin. Also we bought a 10ha botanical garden/ abandoned theme park near Hamburg as part of an association of like-minded makers, artists, scientists and entrepreneurs. As with the stars, new constellations formed, which are yet to be explored.

Last great adventure:
We participated in the Earthship Biotecture Academy in Taos, New Mexico. We learned how to build radically sustainable homes from tyres, bottles and other recycled materials. We absolutey loved it and really appreciated learning from Mike Reynolds (the inventor of Earthships)

A bit about us individually:
Johannes: Born in Essen, Germany. Started traveling early with my family and later on explored many parts of the world. When I was 18 I went to the Florida as an exchange student where I fell in love. the beach and never-ending sunshine. I went to University in the Netherlands and Spain where I lived in multicultural environments. I graduated in 2009 with a bachelor's degree in International Leisure Management. Life is beautiful!

Sydney: born in St. Augustine, Florida, U.S.A. Addicted to traveling.:) I love theater and and all forms of art, and studying culture & society. In addition to being a mommy and student, I am working as a model and actress and living momentarily with my little family in Germany. I am a huge couch surfing fan, and hope that the concept will one day take over the world with a sense of trust and true interest in our fellow humans.

Jenny: Inspired environmental scientist and aspiring entrepreneur in the field of women empowerment and hormonal cycle discovery. Also mother and playful artist of life and joy.

Lola: Born in Essen, Germany in 2009. Favorite travel destination- Dreamland. Loves apples and pears and bananas, started walking with 12 months and brings light into everybodies life... awsome child!

Oskar: Born in Berlin in 2018. Lovely little fellow and wanderer of this planet.
