About Me

My name is Marco and I am a high school Social Studies teacher which means I can talk about subjects I'm passionate about like history, culture, and politics

I love to travel, though I have not done much of that as of late. I've lived Germany, St. Vincent and the Grenadines, South Korea, and Egypt. Each country I've lived in has left a mark on me.

I'm from Houston, Texas and I live here and while I'll be the first to say that it is not necessarily the prettiest of cities, it's home, and what is more beautiful than that? One reason I always come back home no matter where I go and how long I've stayed away, is because of Houston's diversity.

I have been married to a beautiful woman from Thailand since 2015. I still have not been there, but one day! We have a dog, three cats, and a betta fish.

I also speak English natively, and Spanish and German conversationally.

I cannot promise that I can host you during the school year due to my work schedule, but feel free to ask. Summer time is probably a time where I can host people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

When I travel I love to use Couchsurfing. I've met amazing people in Egypt, Turkey, Germany, and the U.S., and I hope to meet more. Unfortunately I cannot host anyone because our apartment is much too small. But I would love to show people around town if I have the time.
