HELLO!

I'm a 21 year old Australian that moved to the UK at the start of 2015 on a two year working visa. I've got a zoology degree under my belt and I intend to go back to university at some point to further my studies however, I thought I'd have a break to travel first!

I'm an outgoing, friendly and pretty chilled person who loves meeting new people, exploring new places and trying new things. I'm always up for a chat, drink and laugh.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've heard many great things about Couchsurfing from friends and other travellers and want to give it a shot myself. I feel it would be a great way of meeting new people, making friendships and exploring other cities. When I return to Australia I would very much love for my new friends to come and visit me and I will show them around my corner of Aus!

Interests

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I trekked to Machu Picchu late 2014 and it was one of the most incredible experiences I have ever encountered. My friend and I ditched the extremely popular Inka Trail and spent 3 days hiking through the Andes mountains with a local guide. No direct path was followed and we didn't see another tourist until we got to Aguas Calientes at the base of the mountain. Our guide taught us a lot about the land, his ancestors and his culture and now I only crave to learn about many other cultures and their history.

Teach, Learn, Share

Teach: aaaah...maybe some neat animal facts? haha

Learn: would love to learn an instrument and another language. Also new card games if you have any!

Share: I'm always down for sharing a bottle of any form of alcoholic beverage from wine to rum. Name it and I'll supply it (but please nothing that will break the bank!). Card games are always fun and I always carry a deck on me so im happy to sit through a few rounds of anything. Or, we can combine the two previously mentioned and play some drinking games. Up to you.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I will cook you food! As I've said, I love love loooooove cooking and will try my best to whip you up a tasty treat.

But aside from food I'll provide good company and be interested to exchange stories with my host. always up for a chill and chat
