ABOUT ME

We have come from a busy life in England to live in New Zealand for a more relaxed and outdoor lifestyle. Since there are many travellers here, we enjoy being hospitable; inviting them to share our home and their experiences. We are pretty active, enjoying the beaches, mountains, art, music, yoga, dance, sharing healthy vegetarian food with both friends and strangers, swimming, tennis and relaxing with a good novel. We don't watch TV but enjoy good conversations and fun games. We live out of town to make the most of this peaceful country in a small, community setting. Do come & enjoy with us :)

Update: We have 2 big dogs in training so there are a few rules:
* Please be calm around them.
* No greeting dogs before humans. They to be ignored if demanding attention, and while we are eating.
* No speaking to, touching or eye contact during any unwanted behaviour displays: whining, barking, mouthing, jumping. These things will stop if consistently ignored (not rewarded with attention, positive or negative)
* No feeding them AT ALL
I need complete consistency so thank you for your respect of the puppy rules & I look forward to welcoming you. :)

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I have couch surfed in Europe, NZ and Singapore. Now I have an opportunity to host other travellers and I'm loving all the appreciative, interesting people that we meet.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Since moving to New Zealand I travel less, so my experience is more hosting. I have hosted so far people from Czech Republic, Italy, Chile, France, Spain, UK, Australia, Austria, Germany, Denmark, US, Canada, Hong Kong, Japan, Argentina, Taiwan, Malaysia & Hungary. I look forward to lots more hosting experiences.

1. Dog sledding with my own team of 4 huskies in Arctic Sweden. A dream come true.

2. Abel Tasman National Park. Miles & miles of empty beach. Awesome.

3. Moved 12,000 miles from England to New Zealand with my dog!
