About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To move beyond the limitations of the nuclear family and create a global extended family.
ABOUT ME
A modern-day Epicurus, whose philosophy was "to attain a happy, tranquil life, characterized by ataraxiaâ
PHILOSOPHY
I tend to agree wih the thoughts of the late Kurt Vonnegut who has said, among other things, that it is not heart disease, but loneliness, that is the greatest threat to man. He also said that rather than surging towards some hyper-technological society, we'd be better off looking to some of the institutions of the past. The solution to both these things would be to live in large, extended families again, like most humans have until recently. Vonnegut is not so sure we'll accomplish this, and I'm not either, but again, maybe CS is a good place to start.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
When I was living in NE Japan for a year, I had the pleasure of living in a coastal city. Just north of the city was a famous beach cove called Jodogahama. It is easily one of the most beautiful, tranquil sites I have seen or ever will see.
Riding on the back of a motorcycle taxi in Bangkok was also pretty awesome.
