CROSS-COUNTRY ROAD TRIP / ART PROJECT

ABOUT ME

Well folks, I'm currently in the middle of a cross-country road trip that doubles as a personal art project. You should check it out: transplantproject.tumblr.com Though, the general shape of the project is still taking form. My sister will be traveling with me as far as NYC and then the rest of the journey and driving is up to me alone.

I currently live in Portland, Oregon, where I study Intermedia Art at one of the local art schools, PNCA. It's pretty rad and hella expensive, so a place like CS comes in handy. Also, it's pretty frequent that we have guests through our doors and we love being hospitable, so it's only natural to open our doors even wider for the CS community when it is manageable on our end.

I'm a Queer, Indigenous Native who loves to travel by car, but will gladly jump in a big metal bird at the sight of a valid airplane ticket. I enjoy music, concerts, film, art, good food, typewriters, zines, riot grrrl, farming/gardenzzz, queer luv, records, cassette tapes, mixtapes, 90's nostalgia, photography, feminism, theory, and conversations about whatever, just not into hearing about your fascination with Native culture and that Cherokee Indian Princess great-grandmother of yours.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

As previously mentioned, I am no stranger to opening my doors to the occasional visitor. We love the energy of having people come and go through our house and providing them with a place to safely rest their heads. I would expect the same, so I offer the same type of comfort that I am willing to allow myself to experience as a traveler.
